On a cold and rainy January 1, 2017, more than 50 happy hikers convened in two places on the MST to take part in the growing tradition of taking a hiking on New Year’s Day.
The Eno River Association secured a critical 1.9-acre conservation and trail easement on the Eno River at Pleasant Green Road on December 28.
In early December, 15 members of MST trail crews across the state converged on Raleigh for a class to be certified to safely operate a chainsaw while working on the MST.
