The Friends are hosting an MST trail workday on June 20th from 9 AM – 1 PM. The project is surveying and constructing a new trail (1 mile long), which is a future connector trail for the MST through the newly acquired Rose Dairy Nature Preserve, a new county facility.

We will need a good crew to get the most of the groundwork done. Come prepared and dress appropriately. We will have tools, but you are welcome to bring your own (hand pruners, loppers, rakes, and grass whackers). There will be water provided but we recommend you bring your own.

This workday will be laying the groundwork. The area is prone to being wet and full of bugs/poison ivy so dress appropriately.

The preserve is located at 310 Rose Dairy Rd, Four Oaks, NC 27524. Volunteers can park on the street or in around the white house/barn. We will start safety talks at 9:05 and will walk into the woods to start work. Please reach out if you have any questions and share with your peers who want to come.
