Eno River Section Trail Workday (National Trails Day)
June 7 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Our annual National Trails Day workday is this coming Saturday June 7th meeting 9AM at the Few’s Ford area, Eno River State Park. This will be our final regularly scheduled workday until September, though we may have special workdays over the summer if needed.
This Saturday we will be continuing work on the Buckquarter Creek Trail. Thanks to all of you we have done some great repair work on the Cox Mountain and Buckquarter Creek Trail this year, and with this workday we hope to finish up some of the work.
We will be meeting close to the Piper-Cox house.
For all of these workdays you will want to wear boots or solid shoes, work clothes you can get dirty, and bring water, snack, work gloves, lunch if you plan to work into the afternoon. While the workdays start at 9AM, you are welcome to leave at any time. In the event of forecast adverse weather the workday will be canceled and an Email sent out to that effect.
To RSVP email to fred.dietrich@duke.edu
Upcoming events:
Bill Boyarsky’s Orange County workday on June 14th. Contact Bill.Boyarsky@gmail.com for details.
Festival for the Eno – Friday July 4th and Saturday July 5th.
The Festival is always a good event with music and food and an opportunity to talk with people about the MST!
We will once again have a booth and be talking with people there about the trail. We need people to help staff the booth.
If you can help out, RSVP to fred.dietrich@duke.edu, and pick a day and either morning, mid-day, or afternoon.
The Festival for the Eno is also a great opportunity to support our key partner, the Eno River Association.
