Spring is in full swing and so is great weather for working on the MST in the Coastal Crescent! We are working to finish our work on “phase 2” of the brick pathway in downtown Roseboro and have 4 exciting days of work (April 14, 16, 21, and 23) scheduled for this exciting and unique project!

 These workdays will be focused on spreading/leveling the masonry sand bed and installing the pavers and edge reinforcements. We will be working to complete the pathway and final touches before Roseboro’s “Bloomfest” block party downtown on Saturday April 25th. No matter what your level of experience, everyone can contribute and learn!

WHERE: Meet at the previously built brick paver path in downtown Roseboro, NC.

 WHAT: Installing phase 2 of the brick paver path in downtown Roseboro.

 DIRECTIONS: The previously built brick paver path is located in the old railroad bed adjacent to NW Railroad Street, specifically the block between Clinton Street and Roseboro Street. There are designated parking spots along the street there.

 WHAT TO BRING: Extra water, gloves, rubber/plastic mallet, knee pads or gardening pad, sun screen, snacks and/or a packed lunch. Please make sure to label your tools/gloves so that yours go home with you. If you don’t have any of these tools, we will make sure to provide what is needed.

 WEAR: sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, long socks, a hat for sun protection.

We are so excited to be extending this beloved and unique section of trail and can’t wait to enjoy working on it with you! I’ll send a reminder and weather update a few days ahead of time to those who have registered and if weather becomes an issue I will update on the workday status 24 hours in advance.
