Come help with summer overgrowth cut back on the MST on July 13, 2024.  We will meet at 8:00 AM and move to the project sites. We will only work half a day and be done by NOON due to the HEAT! Please note the EARLY Start time of 8:00 AM so we can try to beat some of the HEAT!

Our major goal will be to run weed trimmer along sections of the trail that are known to have excessive overgrowth during this time of the year. Crews of 3-4 will be assembled for these tasks with 2 weed trimmers on each team. We welcome you to bring your own weed trimmer from home if you wish. Anybody using a weed trimmer will need to wear safety glasses, wear long pants, gloves and have hearing protection.

Meeting Spot – All interested should meet at Food Lion parking lot at the intersection of Patterson/Sherron and Highway 98. The address for your GPS is 121 Sherron Rd., Durham, NC 27703 After we meet we will split up into project groups and “scatter out” to do our trail work.
