We have a special Saturday workday scheduled for this Saturday, August 23rd meeting at 8AM at the Fews Ford area, 6101 Cole Mill Road, Eno River State Park. We will be parking in the park at the end of the road, near the picnic shelter.

This will be our first workday at ERSP since the July 7th flood. We will be clearing debris off the trail and doing trail repairs, working primarily on the Eno Trace trail. The trail work will involve moving rock, gravel, soil. We will also be picking up trash. The park is still closed, but we are now able to resume doing trail work in the park. As the park is still closed we have been asked to request that you stay out of the park other than for special, approved events such as this workday.

As the park is still closed, the gate will be closed, but there will be someone there to let us in at 7:50, 8AM, or so.

The weather forecast is currently good for Saturday, but if that changes I will Email you.

You will need to wear boots or solid shoes, long pants, and bring insect repellent, sun screen, water. Tools will be provided.

RSVP for the Saturday August 23rd special workday to fred.dietrich@duke.edu

See you on the trail.
