On Saturday May 17^th  at 9 AM we will be having our workday and annual picnic, meeting at 4710/4712 Buttonbush Drive. In case of rain the workday will be postponed to Sunday, May 18.

There is a public pedestrian access down to the trail between these houses. On this workday we will be doing multiple tasks, doing a short trail reroute, repairing erosion damage, using rocks to fix a particular erosion prone location, trimming the trail, and possibly pulling out some invasives. This workday will also be a celebration of our success in getting Durham Water Management to limit their mowing in this area and to celebrate getting trees to grow up to help stabilize the trail and to provide shade for the trail. Thank you so much for those of you who helped plant trees earlier this year. Many of those trees are now leafing out. The trees you planted, along with the trees coming up on their own, along with the work removing Bradford pear and other invasives is really making a difference.
