Croatan Trail Workday – Oct 4

MST Segment 16, Croatan and Neusiok Trail, and Segment 17, Cedar Island, trail maintenance.
Join MST volunteers for maintenance activities that will include putting up blazes and signs on public roads, US Forest Service Roads, and trail, clearing brush, small repairs to boardwalks and bridges, and moving fallen trees off trail.
Specific activities will depend on the weather, your abilities and interests, and how many volunteers are available each day. Let Roger Mays (252) 723 1612 know you are available, the day(s) you would like to work, and you will be assigned a work crew and meeting location ahead of each work day.
Work sessions begin at 08:30 am and last 5 – 6 hours with breaks. All work sessions will be in either Carteret or Craven County.
Wear appropriate footwear and clothing and bring gloves, water, snacks, sunscreen and insect repellent. Trucks and utility trailers will be useful. Contact Roger Mays if you have one you can use.
