We will be putting the final touches on the land we have access to in Saxapahaw. I would like to try to finish this up in Saxapahaw and move on to other projects on the MST in January. If you can come out and help us finish up that would be great. The more hands we have the faster it will go. Please RSVP for the day or days you can volunteer. It helps us plan for food and tools we need for the work day.

Meeting Location:  5670 Rumley Road(the driveway is after the mailbox labeled 5716 I will have an MST sign up at the turn into the correct driveway.

What to Bring: Tools will be provided, but if you prefer your own tools please feel free to bring them. If you have loppers, heavy yard rakes, hand clippers please bring them with you. Also bring water and snacks, insect repellant and work gloves. Please wear sturdy shoes, long pants, gloves, and long-sleeve shirts due to the poison ivy risk.

Safety: Use tools carefully and ask questions as needed. Please keep sufficient distance between you and the next volunteer (10 feet) so that we do not hit one another with tools. If someone is injured please let your team leader know and they can contact me. When walking past another volunteer, let them know that you are near. Please do not do any overhead swinging of sharp tools like axes, Pulaskis, or fire rakes. Please do not lift anything beyond your comfortable limit. Only carry a maximum of 2 tools at a time. Take plenty of breaks and water breaks as needed. Be aware of ticks, chiggers, snakes, stinging insects, and poison ivy.
