Help the MST “Blaze Orange” County!
Join Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail for our fourth annual Blaze Orange event to support the MST in Orange County! The Mountains-to-Sea Trail stretches 1,175 miles across North Carolina, from the Great Smoky Mountains to the Outer Banks, and while we’re making progress in Orange County, there’s still significant gaps to be filled in.
When?
Sunday, October 27, from 3-6pm
There is no preset program, so stay for as long or as little as you like. Music starts at 5pm.
Where?
On the Mountains-to-Sea Trail at Eno River Brewing in Hillsborough (329 Eno Mountain Rd, Hillsborough, NC 27278)
Event includes:
- live music
- craft brews
- food trucks
- walk-and-talk on the MST to the event
- MST info booth for updates on MST progress
- MST merch for sale
- $1 from every drink sold to MST supporters will be donated to Friends of the MST (stop by the MST table before buying a drink to make sure a donation is credited to us!)
***For walk-and-talk on the MST to the event, meet executive director Brent Laurenz at 2:45pm at the trailhead entrance to the Hillsborough Riverwalk in downtown Hillsborough (google map), which is right at the Hillsborough Public Parking Garage. It’s about one mile from there to Eno River Brewing. Please remember you’ll need to walk back on the trail to return to your car as well. During the walk Brent will share updates on the MST or answer any questions or anything else that comes up.
There is no cost to attend, but registration is encouraged.
