SUMMARY:Coastal Crescent Workday Roseboro NC
DESCRIPTION:Spring is in full swing and so is great weather for working on the MST in the Coastal Crescent! We are working to finish our work on “phase 2” of the brick pathway in downtown Roseboro and have one last day of work scheduled for this exciting and unique project! \n We will be hammering down high spots\, placing finishing sand on the bricks to fill the remaining cracks\, and cleaning up the surrounding landscape.This day will be a workday to wrap the project up as well as a celebration of everyone’s hard work and a new section of MST. When the work is done\, a late lunch will be provided for all. Please RSVP so we know how much food to provide \nWednesday\, May 27: 10:30am – 1:30pm\nDetails & Registration \nWHERE: Meet at the previously built brick paver path in downtown Roseboro\, NC. \nWHAT: Finishing and celebrating phase 2 of the brick paver path. \nDIRECTIONS: The previously built brick paver path is located in the old railroad bed adjacent to NW Railroad Street\, specifically the block between Clinton Street and Roseboro Street. There are designated parking spots along the street there. \n WHAT TO BRING: Extra water\, gloves\, rubber/plastic mallet\, knee pads or gardening pad\, sun screen\, snacks. Please make sure to label your tools/gloves so that yours go home with you. If you don’t have any of these tools\, we will make sure to provide what is needed. \nWEAR: sturdy closed-toe shoes\, long pants\, long socks\, a hat for sun protection. \nWe are so excited to be extending this beloved and unique section of trail and can’t wait to enjoy working on it with you!
