Hike Along Proposed Route Hillsborough to Eno State Park

Hike from Hillsborough to the Few’s Ford area of Eno River State Park.

This walk will be along the Hillsborough Riverwalk, past the Occoneechee speedway, and then follow the proposed route of the MST along the Eno to where it connects to the Cox Mountain trail. We will then walk the partially constructed reroute, cross the swinging bridge, and end up at the parking lot at the end of Cole Mill Road.

Please note: Much of this hike is off trail, over uneven ground, through brush, and up and down a few steep pitches. Thus you should be prepared for a challenging walk.

The plan is to meet at 8AM at the parking area at the ERSP parking area,  6101 Cole Mill Road. We will then car pool to Weaver Street Market, meeting there at 8:30AM. Thus we will have cars at the end of the hike.

You should wear boots or solid shoes, and bring lunch. This hike will be an adventure, and take 4-6 hours.
