The Greensboro and E Guilford Task Force’s next workday is on January 14.

We will continue work on a new MST trail section on the Hines Chapel property. We will be working on the trail from the Reedy Fork Parkway (future trailhead along Reedy Fork Pkwy). We will be doing some of the following in building a new trail – removing debris from the trail corridor, removing dead trees (done by Certified Sawyers), removing small trees, grubbing (removing roots and tree stumps), and creating a trail tread.

Please let me know if you plan to attend by Tuesday 1/10/2023.  I use the information to plan the workday plan for biscuits.

Meet time: 9:00 a.m.

End time: Trail work expected to finish by mid-afternoon, but you can leave as you wish

This location is the parking area of the Reedy Fork Early Learning Academy a private company who has given us permission to park at their facility.

Health and Safety:

Bring: water, work gloves, appropriate clothes, work shoes, snack and/or lunch. If you are new to trail work, there will be an experienced volunteer to work with you.

Tools: We have tools; but if you have a favorite tool for building trail tread bring it. If there is a need for specific tools I will email those volunteers coming a couple of days before the workday.
