Hi All,

Hope you have had a good summer. It is cooling off and time to start doing some trail work on the Eno River section of the MST. The trail is in generally good condition, but there are locations where there is significant erosion damage and other problems we need to work on.

First workday is this Saturday, September 30th 9AM meeting at Penny’s Bend, at the corner of Old Oxford Road and Snow Hill Road in Durham. We need to do some trail repair work, and also some invasive species removal.

RSVP to fred.dietrich@duke.edu

You will need to wear work clothes, boots or solid shoes, and bring water, snacks, and lunch if you plan to work all day. You many also want insect repellent.

Upcoming workdays:

October 28th 9AM-3PM Meeting between 4710 and 4712 Buttonbush Drive in Durham to do trail repair work and invasive species removal.

November 11th 9AM-3PM Meeting at Penny’s Bend to do trail repair work and invasive species removal.

December 2nd Worksite TBA

Bring water, lunch, work gloves, insect repellant, sunscreen, and wear appropriate boots and clothes. Tools will be provided.

To attend the workday, please RSVP and to be added to the Eno River workday notification email list, please contact FMST Task Force Leader Fred Dietrich.
