Asheville Area Trail Workday

Trail work at Water Rock Knob to finish up work we started last year on the trail to the summit.

Meet first at the Home Depot in West Asheville off I-40 exit 44 (Enka-Candler) on the hill behind McDonalds. Please arrive by 8:20 so we can sign everyone up, organize carpools and visit with each other. We’ll then leave promptly at 8:30. Our second meeting place will be the parking lot at the Water Rock Knob visitors center, mile post 451.2 at 9:15. We will return to the Home Depot by 3:00.

Please wear sturdy boots, bring work gloves, lunch and plenty of water.  If you have a hazel hoe, please bring it, but we will have plenty of tools if you do not.

You will need to file a trail work agreement with CMC, the Forest Service and the Park Service if you haven’t already done so. This is a liability issue and must be completed. The form is at http://www.carolinamountainclub.org if you are a CMC member. Paper forms will be available at the work site for others.
